Instead of ranting we’ve come up with a list.

How To Form A Band:

1. must love music
2. take up an instrument
3. learn how to play that chosen instrument (doesn’t matter if you go for classes or do it via a book or something)
4. find like-minded humans (preferably friends or family members. try not to bring in the exes. it might get messy)
5. save money (you need to pay for jamming sessions – playing music ain’t cheap yo!)
6. find time (you need it for melody making, songwriting and the likes)
7. create a MySpace page (don’t forget to add some ‘demo’ songs)
8. look for opportunities to perform (they don’t just fall on your lap)
9. keep playing
10. love what you do (people will start believing)

Remember, your first fans are your family and friends. They’ll totally dig your sound even if you suck. So be nice and invite them to gigs and whatnot. You’ll need them there. Just for starters.

Then work on garnering strangers to like your music.
