The Struggle Continues

When you pop in the One Voice Crew compilation CD, expect really loud music. It’s definitely not your typical Sunday morning, oh-I-feel-like-lazing album. It’s extremely upbeat, pure unadulterated hardcore punk music. Like it or hate it, you’re bound to move. Side to side. Head banging almost a necessity.

The compilation CD consists of 26 songs with a lone Malay track in the midst. Notable songs include Sideline, Cruel Revenge and Meaning. Themes that were explored in the songs include personal challenges, friendship, hatred and many other relatable issues. The One Voice Crew compilation is filled with anthems. For the uninitiated, everything sounds like the usual hardcore punk music. You can’t blame the weary. But after listening for the second time round, you take a step back and get to appreciate what was trying to be conveyed whilst making this album.
